Manaus – Thiago Matos de Souza, de idade não divulgada, morreu, na madrugada deste domingo (19), após reagir a uma abordagem policial, na Avenida Vera Cruz, bairro Lírio do Vale, zona oeste de Manaus. Ele estava acompanhado de um outro suspeito, que conseguiu fugir sem ser identificado.
De acordo com informações da Polícia Militar do Amazonas (PMAM), uma equipe fazia patrulhamento pelo local, por volta das 4h, quando avistou dois homens em atitude suspeita. Eles estavam em uma motocicleta preta, de modelo e placa não informadas. A equipe policial deu ordem de parada, mas eles fugiram, atirando contra a viatura.
A polícia reagiu e conseguiu atingir Thiago. Durante a fuga, ele acabou caindo da garupa da motocicleta. O piloto, não identificado, fugiu deixando o comparsa pra trás.
Thiago ainda chegou a ser socorrido e levado para o Hospital e Pronto Socorro (HPS) 28 de Agosto, onde foi a óbito. Com ele, foram encontrados um revólver calibre 38, duas munições deflagradas e quatro munições intactas.
O corpo de Thiago foi removido para o Instituto Médico Legal (IML). O caso foi apresentado no 19° Distrito Integrado de Polícia (DIP).
