Para Lula, PT deve ter candidatos a prefeitos em dez capitais

O ex-presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva reiterou na sexta-feira, 17, diante do novo diretório nacional do PT, a orientação de que o partido deve ter candidatos próprios no maior número possível de cidades importantes nas eleições municipais deste ano. No entanto, em conversas reservadas com dirigentes do partido, Lula tem dito que se dá por satisfeito se o PT encabeçar as chapas em dez capitais.
Rio de Janeiro, onde o partido negocia com o PSOL de Marcelo Freixo, e Porto Alegre, que tem Manuela d’Ávila (PCdoB) como principal nome da esquerda, não estão na lista do ex-presidente. Segundo dirigentes petistas, Lula quer que o PT tenha candidatos próprios em São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Salvador, Manaus, Teresina, Aracaju, Natal e Cuiabá.
De acordo com lideranças petistas, o discurso de Lula sobre o maior número possível de candidaturas tem como alvo a base petista e caráter estratégico. O ex-presidente não quer que o partido entregue “barato” o apoio a aliados em cidades tão importantes quanto Rio e Porto Alegre. Segundo um dirigente, Lula tem dito que “aliança não é rendição”. Portanto, o PT deve apresentar candidatos para depois, se for o caso, negociar a retirada para composição de alianças.
O ex-presidente reiterou a orientação durante reunião do diretório nacional do PT que escolheu a nova comissão executiva do partido, em São Paulo. A presidente do partido, Gleisi Hoffmann, disse que a expectativa é que este ano o PT eleja mais prefeitos do que em 2016, quando o partido sofreu uma das piores derrotas eleitorais de sua história.
“Estamos em um processo de renovação de quadros. Por isso em muitas cidades teremos candidatos novos que podem se eleger ou se fortalecer para as próximas eleições. A gente espera que nesta eleição o PT eleja mais prefeitos do que elegeu em 2016. O quadro é diferente, o partido recuperou muito a relação com a sociedade”, disse ela.
De acordo com ela, a orientação de Lula não significa que o partido abriu mão de alianças. Gleisi anunciou que o festival que vai marcar os 40 anos do PT, dia 7 de fevereiro, no Rio, vai ter uma mesa sobre perspectivas da esquerda com os cinco principais partidos de oposição (PT, PSB, PDT, PSOL e PCdoB). Os presidentes do PDT, Carlos Lupi, e PSB, Carlos Siqueira, confirmaram presença.
Segundo ela, a “linha de corte” para escolha dos aliados será o fato de fazer oposição ao governo Jair Bolsonaro. O PT adiou para o dia 7 de fevereiro a discussão sobre as eleições municipais e política de alianças. Gleisi admitiu que o processo de escolha da nova direção – que teve eleições diretas municipais e congressos estaduais e nacional – atrasou a formulação de um calendário eleitoral para o partido, um dos principais pontos de crítica de seus adversários internos.
Sobre a eleição de São Paulo, dois dias depois de Lula ter dito que pode surgir uma “novidade”, Gleisi afirmou que o mais provável é que o PT escolha um nome entre os oito pré-candidatos já colocados.
“Nosso esforço é para demover o diretório municipal e os pré-candidatos para não ter prévia e chegar em um nível de entendimento. Pode que ser que surjam outro nomes. Podemos conversar, mas temos nomes colocados e provavelmente será em cima desse nomes que vamos tentar uma concertação”, disse ela.
A presidente do PT aproveitou para rebater o texto no qual o deputado Orlando Silva (PCdoB-SP) faz duras críticas a Lula que, em uma entrevista, disse que dificilmente um candidato “comunista” tem chance de se eleger presidente.
“Lamento que o Orlando tenha feito o texto até porque foi em cima de pedaços pinçados da entrevista, fora do contexto. Lula estava fazendo uma avaliação. É engraçado que todo mundo fala do PT, todo mundo critica o PT, inclusive nossos aliados. Dizem que o PT quer ser hegemonista, quer mudar, não sei o que. Nós não podemos fazer crítica nenhuma?”, questionou Gleisi.
